Mode

HDR ON/OFF can be activated in any recording mode except the 2H/6H mode.

High-Density Recording

HDR is performed with the EP heads. When HDR is set to “OFF”, recording is performed with the SP heads.
In the HDR mode, the interval between frames (fields) is reduced by about a third, allowing 3 times as many frames to be
recorded as in the ordinary timelapse mode. This does not affect the actual recording time of the tape (the recording time
is the same as it would be if recorded in the normal (SP) Timelapse mode).
The quality of the picture recorded in the HDR mode is inferior to that in ordinary timelapse recording (equivalent to the EP
mode).

• Available recording time may vary depending on the type of cassette used.

• For best results, use a T-120 tape.
• Replace the cassette at least once every 15 days when using the 2H - 168H modes. In the 240 - 960H modes,

replace the cassette with a new one at the completion of recording.
