transfer upload mode <xmodem|tftp>

transfer upload serverip

This command sets the IP address of the server on which the file is located.

Note:

This command is valid only when the transfer mode is TFTP. See “transfer upload mode” .

transfer upload serverip <ipaddr>

transfer upload path

This command sets the directory path used to upload the file. The switch “remembers” the last file
path used.

This command is valid only when the transfer mode is TFTP. See “transfer upload mode” .

GSM7224 Layer 2 Managed Switch software supports the TFTP client. The TFTP client path
statement requirement is sever dependent. A path statement is generally required to set up the
TFTP client; however, the client path may remain blank.

See the example of the path setup.

TFTP Upload Example:

The TFTP upload example details three scenarios for TFTP client to server file
transfer.
In the example, the operator will upload the config.bin file from the switch to
the location c:\tftp\ on the server. The different scenarios are detailed below:

GSM7224 Layer 2 Managed Switch software provides two methods to clear the directory path
statement.

The

clear config

command will remove the directory path statement.

The web browser clear command will remove the directory path statement.
