If required for your phone system application, you may adjust the metering pulse generated by your
SX5T from high gain (default setting) to low gain. The gain values are as follows:

For 12Khz systems:

Low gain = -2dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

High gain (default) = 1dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

For 16Khz systems:

Low gain = -6dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

High gain (default) = -2dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

To set the metering pulse to high gain (default setting):

• From Configuration Mode, press

.

To set the metering pulse to low gain:

Local Metering Pulse Override/Polarity Reversal (SX5T-500C)

If your phone system application (PBX, Payphone, Public Calling Office) requires Polarity Reversal
instead of a metering pulse in order to initiate call billing, you may set your SX5T to generate Polarity
Reversal based on the CDMA system’s metering pulse signals.

For 12Khz systems:

Low gain = -2dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

High gain (default) = 1dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

For 16Khz systems:

Low gain = -6dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

High gain (default) = -2dbm

(+/- 2dbm)

To enable Local Meter Pulse Override (Polarity Reversal):

• From Configuration Mode, press

.

To disable Local Meter Pulse Override (default setting):

• From Configuration Mode, press

.

Note:

This advanced programming setting is available on the SX5T-500C models only.
