Problem Suggeston
I cannot dal out. • Make sure there s a dal tone before dalng. It s normal for handset to take a second or two
to find the base unit and produce a dial tone. Wait an extra second before dialing.
• Make sure the telephone s set to the correct dal mode for the type of servce that you have
(pulse or touchtone). Refer to the Set dial mode (page 20) of ths user’s manual to set the dal
mode.
• If the other telephones n your home are havng the same problem, the problem s n your wrng
or local servce. Contact your local telephone company.
• Elmnate any background nose. Nose from a televson, rado or other applance may cause the
telephone not to dial out properly. If you cannot eliminate the background noise, first try muting
the handset before dalng, or dalng from another room n your home wth less background
nose.
The batteres do not
hold a charge.
• Charge the battery n the handset for 16 hours. For optmum daly performance, return the
handset to ts base unt when not n use.
• You may need to purchase a new battery, please refer to the Batteries secton n ths user’s
manual.
• Your telephone mght be malfunctonng. Please refer to the Warranty secton of ths user’s
manual for further nstructon.
