Avoid These Problems

The truck platen is an important contributor to print
quality. To provide adequate support for the card, the
platen’s neoprene surface must be clean and intact.
Look for signs of delamination, especially at the edges
of the platen, and be sure to keep the surface free of
debris.

Delaminated platen

Pick Position Adjust fine tunes the extent of truck
motion relative to the home sensor located left of the
card hopper. Modify this value only if the printer has
repeated difficulty in card picking.

Dirt on platen

These image defects were caused by a “foreign
object” under the card - a tiny piece of card, less than
0.01" (0.25 mm) thick .
