You can also rinse the milk unit in-between.
• Place a vessel under the outlet.
• Select the Care sub-menu.
• Turn the rotary switch until Easy Cleaning is
highlighted and press it to confirm the selection.
• Turn the rotary switch until Start is highlighted
and press it to start the programme.
• Connect the tube to the outlet and to the drip tray
(Fig. D).
• Press the rotary switch to confirm that the tube is
connected.
→ The “Easy Cleaning” programme will start. Water then flows out of the outlet
and into the drip tray through the tube.
9.5 Cleaning the milk unit
("Intensive Cleaning" programme)
With the “Intensive Cleaning” programme, the milk unit is cleaned thoroughly with a
cleaning agent.
Caution!
Only use the Melitta ® milk system cleaning agent for fully automatic coffee
makers. This cleaning agent is specially designed for the Melitta ® CAFFEO ®
CI ® . The use of other cleaning agents can damage the appliance.
• If necessary, clean the milk tube and the milk
outlet opening with the enclosed cleaning brush.
• Place a vessel with at least 0.5 l capacity under
the outlet (e.g. the coffee grounds container).
• Select the Care sub-menu.
• Turn the rotary switch until Intensive Cleaning is
highlighted and press it to confirm the selection.
• Turn the rotary switch until Start is highlighted
and press it to start the programme.
