Before replacing the hard disk, make sure the new disk is
greater or has the same memory capacity than the failed
disk.

1. Unlock the rear panel door and

pull it open.

2. Push the button on the disk tray

to release the handle, and pull
the disk tray out.

3. Loosen the screws on the disk

tray and slide the hard disk
drive away from the
connectors to release it.

4. Insert the new hard disk drive

into the disk tray, with the
connectors facing outward.

5.

Slide the connectors into
place, and secure the hard
disk drive onto the disk tray
with four screws.

6. Keep the handle lifted as you

insert the disk tray back into
the empty slot.

7. Push the handle down to lock

the disk tray into place.

8. Close and lock the rear panel.

Controller Maintenance

The controller may be malfunctioning if you hear long beeps with one second
pauses in-between when the system is powering on.
To confirm the state of the controller, view the controller status in
RAIDGuard X.
If the controller is the source of the beeper alert, power off the system and
contact your service provider for a replacement controller.
