Required Network/System Information
• Application Directory: Make sure you know which machine Intelli-
Track ISRP will be installed on, and the drive letter of the \Intelli-
Track ISRP directory (where the application executable resides).
Note: The application directory represents the target path where the work-
station application executable resides.
• Authentication Type: When adding the database to an existing
MSDE/SQL Server installation, know the type of authentication used
by your system:
Mixed security: If Mixed security is used, the sa password is required.
Windows domain security only: If this option is used by the system,
users must be given read/write permissions to the ISRP database
BEFORE running ISRP.
• Operating System: Verify the operating system installed on your Intel-
liTrack ISRP target server PRIOR to the installation of the database
server. Verify the operating system installed on your IntelliTrack ISRP
target workstation PRIOR to the installation of the workstation soft-
ware. IntelliTrack ISRP supports the following operating systems:
Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista, Windows 2003 Server,
Windows 2008 Server.
Important: If you are using the Microsoft Windows Vista Operating System,
make sure that the User Access Control (UAC) is turned off BEFORE
INSTALLING your INTELLITRACK SOFTWARE. To disable UAC, go to
the Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts >
Turn User Account Control on or off. Uncheck the check box to disable
UAC and click OK. Windows Vista will then prompt you to restart the com-
puter.
• Remote Data Access (RDA): Your workstation application database
and your CE Client batch portable application database use Remote
Data Access to communicate with each other. RDA involves several
components, which must be configured BEFORE you install the CE
