About this Manual
Thank you for purchasing the Canon XF105/XF100. Please read this manual carefully before you use the
camcorder and retain it for future reference. Should the camcorder fail to operate correctly, refer to
Troubleshooting (0 159).
Conventions Used in this Manual

• 0: Reference page number.
• b: Text that applies only to the model shown in the icon.
• The following terms are used in this manual.
“Screen” refers to the LCD screen and the viewfinder screen.
“CF card” refers to a CompactFlash (CF) card.
“SD card” refers to an SD or SDHC memory card.
“Recording media” refers to CF cards and SD cards.
• Photographs in the manual are simulated pictures taken with a still camera. Some screenshots have been
