RAID Manager XP command

Operation

paircreate

(see

Figure 13

for the relationship between the

command and pair status.)

Create Flex Copy XP pairs.

Execute copy processing from the P-VOL to the

S-VOL.

Specify the copy pace using the

-c <size>

option

parameter. Specify one of the following values:
1 or 2: Slower
3: Medium
4 - 15: Faster
If you specify Slower, the effect on host I/O

decreases because of the copy processing’s slow

pace. If you specify Faster, copy processing

completes in a short time period. If you omit this

option, Medium is set.

pairsplit

(see

Figure 13

for the relationship between the

command and pair status.)

When you do not specify the

-S

or

-E

option

parameters:
The P-VOL’s status changes to PSUS and the S-VOL’s

status changes to SSUS. If you execute the

pairsplit

command on the pair when the P-VOL

and S-VOL statuses are COPY, the status changes

after copy processing completes. If you execute the

pairsplit

command on the pair when the P-VOL

and S-VOL statuses are PAIR, the status changes

immediately.

When you specify the

-S

option parameter:

Copy processing does not execute, and the Flex

Copy XP pair is canceled. The P-VOL and S-VOL

statuses change to SMPL.

When you specify the

-E

option parameter:

Copy processing does not execute, and the P-VOL

and S-VOL statuses change to PSUE.

You can specify the copy pace using the

-C <size>

option parameter. Specify one of the

following values:
1 or 2: Slower
3: Medium
4-15: Faster
If you specify Slower, the effect on host I/O

decreases because of the copy processing’ slow

pace. If you specify Faster, copy processing

completes in a short time period. If you omit this

option, Medium is set.
