move media
Description of Command Function
Moves media between drives, slots, and mail slots within a partition.
Command Syntax
move media <partition> <source> <destination> [force]
path: /move/media <partition> <source> <destination> [force]
Command Parameters (Required)
•
partition, Pn – the partition number in a range from 1 to 16.
•
source – the source of the media to move specified using a media location type code and the
logical address of the location. Use one of the following:
◦ Dn – drive at logical address n from 1 to 192
◦ Mn – mail slot at logical address n from 1 to 240
◦ Sn – storage slot at logical address n from 1 to 9999
•
destination – the destination of the media to move specified using a media location type code
and the logical address of the location. Use one of the following:
◦ Dn – drive at logical address n from 1 to 192
◦ Mn – mail slot at logical address n from 1 to 240
◦ Sn – storage slot at logical address n from 1 to 9999
Command Options
force – allows you to skip the confirmation prompt that would otherwise require you to enter “yes”
to confirm taking the partition offline, optional.

Moves Media Command
from storage slot 10 to drive 1 in partition 1 move media p1 S10 D1
from drive 1 to mail slot 1 in partition 2 move media p2 D1 M1
from mail slot 1 to storage slot 10 in partition 3 move media p3 M1 S10
from mail slot 1 to storage slot 10 in partition 3 without a
