Installation

Installation location

Install the appliance in a dry, well ventiĆ
lated room. The installation location
should neither be exposed to direct
sunlight nor near a heat source, e.g. a
cooker, radiator, etc. If installation near
a heat source is unavoidable, use a
suitable insulating plate or observe the
following minimum distances to a heat
source:

- 3 cm to an electric cooker.

- 30 cm to an oil or solidĆfuel cooker.

The floor on which the appliance is to
be installed must be rigid. If required,
reinforce the floor.

The appliance is very heavy, for empty
weight see the following table.

Basic model

104 kg

Model with dispenser

113 kg

Model with home bar

115 kg

To ensure that the ice maker functions
correctly, the appliance must be upĆ
right. Align the appliance with a spirit
level. To ensure that the doors can
open all the way, observe lateral miniĆ
mum distances when installing the
appliance in a corner or recess (see
section on Appliance dimensions").

Connecting the
appliance

After setting up the appliance, wait for
at least one hour before starting the
appliance up. The oil contained in the
compressor may have been displaced
into the refrigeration system during
transport.

Clean the inside of the appliance before
it is first used (see Cleaning").

The appliance conforms to protection
class I. Connect the appliance to a
220Ć240 V / 50 Hz alternating current
supply using a socket with protective
earthing conductor which has been
correctly installed.

The socket must be near to the
appliance and easily accessible after
the appliance has been installed.
The socket must be protected by a fuse
with a rating of 10 A to 16 A.

In the case of appliances operated
outside of Europe, check whether the
voltage and type of current specified
conform to the values of your power
supply.
You will find this information on the
rating plate.

!

Warning

The appliance must never be
connected up to an electronic energyĆ
saving socket.
SinusoidalĆcommutated and lineĆ
commutated inverters can be used with
our appliances.
LineĆcommutated inverters are used
with photovoltaic systems that are
connected directly to the power supply.
SinusoidalĆcommunicated inverters
must be used with standalone applicaĆ
tions (e.g. on ships or mountain huts)
that do not have a direct connection to
the power supply.

Caution:

Fit strain relief when installing or replaĆ
cing the power cord.

Do not use extension cables or distriĆ
butors.

Observe ambient
temperature and
ventilation

Ambient temperature

The atmosphere grade is written on the
identification plate. It states the room
temperature within which the appliance
can be operated.

Atmosphere grade

Permitted ambient
temperature

SN

+10 °C to 32 °C

N

+16 °C to 32 °C

ST

+16 °C to 38 °C

T

+16 °C to 43 °C

Note:

The appliance can function within the
ambient temperature limits of the
specified climate class. If an appliance
in the SN climate class is operated at
lower ambient temperatures, damage
to the appliance can be excluded up to
a temperature of +5 °C.

Ventilation

The heated air must be able to escape
unimpeded. Otherwise, the refrigeĆ
rating unit has to work harder, which
increases the appliance's power
consumption.

Therefore: You must never cover or
block the ventilation openings!

Switching on
the appliance

S Insert the mains plug into a socket.

The appliance begins to cool down as
soon as it is connected to the power
supply. When the doors are open, the
interior lights come on.

Note:

The preset temperatures (factory
settings) are reached after approx. 2 to
3 hours. Do not put any food in the
appliance beforehand.

To change the set temperatures ć> see
Setting the temperature".

Setting the
temperature

Appliances with control
