* When you connect equipment with an

OPTICAL jack, reassign the input jacks. For
details, see “Using other video/audio input
jacks (Input Assign)” (page 86)

• Be sure to change the default setting of the

VIDEO 1 input button on the remote control so
that you can use the button to control your DVD
recorder. For details, see “Programming the
remote control” (page 108).

• You can rename the VIDEO 1 input so that it

can be displayed on the receiver’s display panel.
For details, see “Name” in Input Settings menu
(page 100).

5: Connecting the
antennas (aerials)

Before connecting the antennas (aerials),
be sure to disconnect the AC power cord
(mains lead).

• To prevent noise pickup, keep the AM loop

antenna (aerial) away from the receiver and
other equipment.

• Be sure to fully extend the FM wire antenna

(aerial).

• After connecting the FM wire antenna (aerial),

keep it as horizontal as possible.
