Applying effects to the image

You can apply various effects to the image.
The following effects can be added.

- Brightness & Contrast
- Hue & Saturation
- Sharpness
- Sepia
- Negative
- Monotone
- Colour effect

Note

` The effect which is applicable to the video clip (MPEG2

file) is only 1 type of the special effect. When a new
effect is applied, the previous effect will be removed.
However, once the video clip is rendered and saved as a
video clip (MPEG2 file) (

@

138

), you can add a new

effect.

` When a still image placed on the Edit track is set in the

background image, save the still image as a video clip or
a still image clip with the title editor to reflect the effects
set on the still image.

` Even though nothing is placed in the background, you

can apply some effects.

` If an effect is applied more than once, the Preview

screen is not normally displayed in some cases.

` To remove the applied effect, select [Edit] >> [Undo]

from the menu. The immediately preceding state will be
restored.

` After applying effects to a still image, the effect is

removed when changing [Background] >> [Image
Arrangement] or [Background aspect ratio] settings from
the menu.
