B. The storage folder and file name are displayed for

the file(s) created in MPEG2 format for output.
Files can be arbitrarily selected and input.
• Only files in the library can be selected.

C. The format of the file to be output can be selected.

(By default, the optimum format that provides the
highest image quality is automatically selected
according to the size of a file to be output.)
The following file formats can be specified.
MPEG2 format selection (re-encoding) / MPEG2
format hybrid rendering (partial encoding)
When MPEG2 format selection (re-encoding) is
selected, image quality can also be selected.
[High Resolution]
High image quality is obtained, but the file size is
large.
[Standard]
Standard image quality. The file size is smaller than
that of [High Resolution].
[High Compression]
The image quality is inferior to that of [Standard], but
the file size is smaller.

D. The screen aspect ratio can be set.

• When the aspect ratio is different from the original

data, a black area is displayed above and below
and to the right and left of the image. (

[4:3 Normal]
Output at the normal 4:3 aspect ratio.

[16:9 Wide]
Output at the wide 16:9 aspect ratio.

E. Starts output.
F. Displays detailed information about the output file.
G.Exits DVD-RAM output mode.

During output, the button is indicated as [Stop] and
the output is paused.

H. The estimated size of the data to be output is

displayed. Data size exceeding the capacity of the
DVD-RAM disc cannot be output. (Capacity is
calculated as for a 12 cm DVD media (Approx.
4.2 GB).)

3 Library screen

Displays the data which is available in MotionSD
STUDIO.
The types of files that can be displayed are [Editing
infor...], [Video] and [Mpeg1/Asf].
For details, refer to the “Library screen” in the
“Non-linear edit mode”. (
