diagnostics are started all DMX data moving through the selected
DMXPathfinder module will be cut off until you exit from the diagnostics
or close the DMXPathfinder Control window.

X -- Crosspoint Tests

Pressing "T" displays the Crosspoint Tests sub-menu. Pressing S

or R selects the send (transmit) crosspoint or return (receive) crosspoint
device test menu. There are four separate tests provided for each
crosspoint device: JTAG communications test, crosspoint tri-state test,
sequential port test, and activity monitor test. All these tests must pass for
the selected device to function properly. Pressing H selects the htp
crosspoint test menu. This item is applicable only to systems that use the
optional HTP (highest-takes-precedence or merge) processor card –
available in 1999).

L -- Loopback Tests

Press "L" to display the Loopback Tests sub-menu. Pressing I or

O selects the Input module or Output module loopback test command
menu. CAUTION: before running the loopback test routines, it is
recommended that you first ensure that any Input or Output
Modules to be tested are not connected by the installed wiring or
portable cabling to any external transmitting or receiving equipment.
As well, when Loopback Test is started all DMX data moving
through the DMXPathfinder will be cut off until you exit from the
DMXPathfinder Control window.

To perform a loopback test on a given input or output line, you will need a
female or male loopback connector as described previously in this
chapter. The following is a detailed explanation of the use of the
Loopback Test command menu to test the DMXPathfinder electronics and
installed cabling.

U - increment loopback channel selected

Pressing U increments the displayed I/O channel by one (range 01-

16 for inputs, 01-32 for outputs), allowing the next channel to be tested.

D - decrement loopback channel selected

Pressing D decrements the displayed I/O channel by one (range 01-16 for

inputs, 01-32 for outputs), allowing the previous channel to be tested.
