All red LED indicators should be on steady in normal usage. A flashing

Main 5V Status LED warns of a problem with one of the Output Module power
supplies in systems where redundant supplies are fitted. If the LED is off, there
is no power present (no other indicators will be on either). A flashing green
Processor OK LED indicates processor failure for that module.

Transmit data (green) LEDs are not necessarily a definitive means of

establishing whether or not an output repeater circuit is faulty. They will not tell
you if one or both data link fuses are open, or if the output line driver is faulty.
You will need to use a DMX analyzer to determine whether the port is functional.
If one is not available, try inserting a loopback plug into the remote DMX station
jack. If the output circuit is OK, the yellow talkback data LED will illuminate.

Input Module yellow (receive data) indicators tell a different story. These

show not only whether there is data present at the rear DMX input terminals or
front XLR jacks, but when that data is placed on the internal system I/O bus that
is common to the DMXPathfinder LR’s Input/Output Modules. They’re a certain
indication that the data is getting into the system.

Under normal conditions, the user never needs to interact with any part of

the DMXPathfinder LR module installation. Exceptions to this might include
checking the LED status as described previously, or having to recover from a
temporary component failure or when service and card replacement is being
carried out.

A “System Reset” pushbutton has been provided on the face of each Input

Module for the latter purpose. It’s important to remember that only the reset
button on the first Input Module is active. If you depress either one, however, you
will assume that both are inactive as nothing will happen. You will need to
depress and hold the correct one for at least two seconds to initiate a reset
cycle. The external reset function was designed this way to help prevent anyone
from accidentally resetting the DMXPathfinder and momentarily interrupting the
flow of DMX data through it.
