Priming

A few bubbles up to 1 mm in size are permissible.

If filling is not possible, see
'Troubleshooting' on page 64.

Then use a half rotation of the hand wheel to take up liquid sev-
eral times, each time using a single stroke to the lower position
to empty it into the bottle. Repeat this procedure 5 times until no
more large bubbles are seen below the piston.

Ensure that the screw cap for the titrating tube is screwed on
firmly.

2.

Turn the valve in the direction of the arrow to 'Recirculate'

(Fig. 2).

3.

First, turn the hand wheel to move the piston all the way down.
For filling the piston, turn it at most half-way up, and then empty
it again (Fig. 3).

4.

Unscrew the screw cap from the titrating tube.

5.

Turn the valve to 'Titrate' (Fig. 5).

6.

Hold a suitable receiving vessel under the opening and dispense
liquid to prime the titrating tube until it is bubble-free (Fig. 6).
Wipe away any remaining drops from the titrating tube tip.
