6.4 Upgrading the Firmware
The VS-88FO uses a microcontroller that runs firmware located in FLASH
memory. The latest version of firmware and upgrade instructions can be
downloaded from the Kramer Web site at www.kramerelectronics.com and
updated in minutes using K-UPLOAD.
The USB port is used for connecting the VS-88FO to a PC to transfer the data.
6.5 Changing the Device Parameters
To change the device parameters do the following:
1. Connect a PC to the VS-88FO (see Section
5.3
).
2. Open K-UPLOAD (see Section
5.5
).
3. Click the Connect button to open the Connect window.
4. Choose the appropriate type of connection: Ethernet, Serial or USB, and
click Connect.
The Connect window disappears and the Device Properties become visible.
5. Change the parameters as required and then click Save.
