Installing Printer Utilities on Windows

You must have administrator privileges in order to install the Printer
Management Utilities.
"
If the User Account Control window appears when installing on Win-
dows Vista/Server 2008, click the Allow button or the Continue but-
ton.
"
Before proceeding with the installation, be sure to exit all running
applications.
The following procedure describes how to install the Printer Utilities.
End User Tools
„ Status Monitor
„ PageScope Direct Print
Administration Tools
„ PageScope Plug and Print
„ PageScope Net Care Device Manager
„ PageScope Net Care Device Manager Plug-in
„ PageScope Network Setup

Insert Utilities and Documentation CD/DVD in your CD-ROM/DVD drive.

If Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 is being used, click Run
Autorun.exe in the AutoPlay dialog box that appears when the CD/
DVD is inserted.

If the installer does not start up automatically, double-click the Auto-
Run.exe icon on the CD/DVD.

Select the type of tools from “End User Tools” and “Administration Tools”.

From the Tools dialogs, select the utilities to be installed.

From Utility dialogs, select Install button.

Click Back button to display previous page.

Click Top Menu button to display top page.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

After the installation is completed, remove the Utilities and Documentation
CD/DVD from your CD-ROM/DVD drive and store it in a safe place.

Before installing the PageScope Net Care Device Manager, be
sure to install .NET Framework 2.0, SQL Server 2005, and Server
for PageScope Enterprise Suite from the CD-ROM/DVD drive.
