Receiving a sender’s original when requested by this machine (Polling
reception)

Polling reception

Polling reception is a function that sends an original loaded on the sender’s fax machine or an original
reserved for polling transmission when requested by the recipient. This function is useful when the telephone
bill is to be incurred by the recipient.

Polling reception by specifying multiple destinations is called as sequential polling reception.

Sequential Polling RX Report is printed on completion of sequential polling reception.

Note

It may not be possible to use the polling reception function with the recipient’s fax machine.

Following functions cannot be used simultaneously.
Quick Memory TX, Frame Erase, Scan Size, Total # of Pages, Mixed Original, Z-Folded Original, Long
Original, Binding Position, Confidential transmission, Relay request, ECM OFF, Overseas TX, Polling

Polling reception

The polling reception includes a normal polling reception mode and a bulletin board polling reception mode
for polling originals registered in the bulletin board of the recipient’s fax machine. Normal polling reception is
explained below.
