Incorrect date and time are displayed

Set the correct time in the System functions (

p. 95) menu.

Unknown message on the display

Take a look in the section Messages on the display (

p. 121) to see what the dis-

play means.
The number of a caller is not displayed

Call is transmitted without caller’s number, e.g. an analog call, or the caller has swit-
ched off the caller ID function.
Short tones during a call

A second call is being signalled. Please refer to the section Establishing several con-
nections (

p. 26) to find out about possible operating steps.

You have activated monitoring or handsfree operation
Appointment signal

An appointment is being signalled.
A function does not work

It is possible that the function first has to be enabled by Avaya Service.
Telephone cuts off prematurely when programming

No key has been pressed for about 60 seconds. This always terminates every pro-
gramming procedure. Programming is also terminated by answering a call.
