Use the

rotary knob

either enable (x) or disable ( ) DHCP. Finally, press the

RF key

to

save the configuration (don’t if you want to discard your changes). Press the

menu key

to exit the LAN submenu.

Display Settings Submenu

After accessing the Display Configuration menu, use the

rotary knob

to change the

display contrast as required. Press the

menu key

to save and exit the Display Settings

submenu.

6. Programming the 835-3

The signal generator can be remotely programmed via a 10/100/1000Base-T LAN
interface and LAN-connected computer using one of several LAN interface protocols. The
LAN allows instruments to be connected together and controlled by a LAN- based
computer. LAN and its associated interface operations are defined in the IEEE 802.2
standard.
The 835-3 support the following LAN interface protocols:

1) Socket based LAN: proprietary function calls defined in the dynamic link
library (DLL) provided with the instrument, used for general programming using
the LAN interface under Windows operating system.

2) VXI-11/SCPI (version 1999) commands (firmware 2.0 upwards)
