Pre-adjust outside strap to the size of the pole. To adjust the

outside strap undo buckle tongue from outer strap and locate

hole according to diameter of the pole. The closest hole to the

free end of the outer strap is the maximum pole size and the

hole closest to the D-ring is the minimum pole size. Secure

outer strap to adjustment buckle with buckle tongue.

5

Pass the Outer Strap D-ring sub-assembly around the pole with

your left hand and right hand is holding carabiner sub-assembly

as shown. With right hand grasping carabiner, unlock gate by

twisting the knurled gate and pushing the gate open toward

the inside of the carabiner. Connect outer strap assembly with

D-ring to the carabiner sub-assembly.

6

On larger pole diameters you may need to adjust double end

portion of the inner strap to accommodate pole diameter

by pressing on cam paddle to release additional inner strap

material. For easier connecting of the carabiner to the outer strap,

leave slack in the double end of the inner strap by pressing on

cam paddle.

7

Adjust outer strap to pole diameter as necessary to maintain

a 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock position of the hardware in relation

to the pole. When the pole is viewed as a clock face hardware

must be in this position. Cam bracket is located at 9 o’clock and

the carabiner sub-assembly is located at 3 o’clock.

8

Make sure the inner and outer straps lie flat without twisting

against the pole and the buckle tongue is turned outward.

9

Before placing your full weight on the Wood Pole Fall Restrict

Device (WPFRD), visually check that each locking snap hook

freely engages the D-ring and that the keepers are completely

closed. Never rely solely on the feel or sound of the snap hook
engaging
.

Failure to maintain hardware at this position may

not allow the Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD) to stop

your fall. Serious injury or death could result.
