When selecting this option, add individual failure streams to the Failure Streams repeat
group. There is no limit on the number of failure streams you can add.

When adding a failure stream, first specify whether the failure arrival rate is based on unit
counts or time (i.e., the Trigger Type). This option is available only for machines and
palletizers. The failure rates of conveyors must be based on time. Then enter the Time or
Count Between Failures and the Time to Repair. These operands can be specified as
random distributions.

For time-based failures, the Uptime Type field specifies how the time between failures
parameter of a time-absed failure stream is interpreted. For machines and palletizers, the
choices are Calendar Time or Processing Time. Processing Time is the time that the
machine or palletizer is running and not starved (i.e., it is processing units). For convey-
ors, the choices are Calendar Time or Running Time. Running Time is the time that the
conveyor’s belt is actually moving (i.e., run speed is greater than zero).
