5. Understanding Printer Messages
The LCD of the control panel of this printer is designed to display the current status and problems. This chapter
describes messages and how to respond to them.
Message Description Response
Printing Printing or receiving data
Cancelling... Current job is being cancelled.
Re-insert Cartridge Cartridge has not been properly
installed. Open the front cover and reinstall
the cartridge.
Cover Open The front cover is open. Close the cover.
Power Save Mode The printer is in the [Ready] state for
the data receipt and the printer work.
In order to reduce power consumption
during the idle time of the printer,
[Power Save Mode] operates after
a certain period of time. [Power Save
Mode] message is displayed. The print job is sent. Pressing the 【 】
button promptly makes the printer revert
to the normal operation temperature, and
[Ready] is displayed.

[Ready] to print. Send Job to Printer
Restoring Factory
Defaults All setting are restored to the factory
default setting.
