In order to send email you need to have a To and From email

password. SMTP is Simple Mail Transfer Protocol and is the
standard for email transmission across the Internet. The
defaults for emails are set here as follows:

the email that is sent. It needs to be a real email address.

To: The default address of the recipient that the email will be
sent to.

SMTP IP address: This is the address of the SMTP mail
server that the email will be sent to so that it can be rerouted to the recipient. It can be an address like
192.168.0.104 or it can be the name of the server. Example of this would be smtp.gmail.com or
smtp.yahoo.com. Note: If the network connection is not set for DHTML then only numeric IP Addresses will
work.

SMTP user id: This is the user id needed to authenticate to the mail server. (your mail server login name)

SMTP password: This is the user password needed to authenticate to the mail server

OK: Accept changes and exit.

FTP Remote Setup

The recorder can be set to upload files to a remote FTP server either on
demand or at user preset intervals. In order to do this the FTP Remote
must be set up and the Ftp Client must be enabled by checking the box.

To set up the FTP Remote press the Setup button.

Access to the FTP Server needs to be set up using a
Logon ID and Password and the IP Address of the
server needs to be entered in the FTP Server IP text
box in the format 123.456.789.012. This is the IP
address of the host machine on which the FTP server
is running. The connection can be checked by
pressing the Test button. If ok you will get an “Ftp Log
In Successful” message.

The update times need to be set and the files to be
uploaded need to be checked - Log Files and/or
Config Files.

Select whether the files are to be uploaded Daily or
Weekly. From the drop down menus select the Day for
weekly upload and the Time of day. The Log Files and
Configuration files can be sent by checking the
respective boxes. Data files are sent using the split files options.

Clear after backup: Check this box to delete the files from the recorder once they have been backed up
to the FTP server
