7. Verify the settings and readings returned. Edit the settings as

necessary, and consider the following:

 The Flow Channel header displays the current flow and meter

readings. These updates every 10 seconds. If the flow rate does not
match the meter reading, edit the FCAL value as necessary and

click on the red arrow

to send the new value to the logger. Edit

the Meter Reading as necessary and click on the corresponding red

arrow

to send the new value to the logger.

 The Pressure Channel header displays the current pressure

reading. This reading updates every second. To set the pressure
reading to zero (when necessary), click on the Auto Zero button.

8. Click on the Finish button, and disconnect from the logger.

Testing the Signal Strength

Performing the signal strength test using XiLog+ FastTrack requires pre-
planning so that adequate time will be available for initiating the test,
disconnecting from the logger, and placing the logger at the location of
deployment before the formal test begins. The test provides a 30-second
window, or delay, following test initiation through FastTrack to allow for
these activities to occur without disrupting the actual signal test. Run the test
in the following way:

1. Make sure the proper SIM card has been installed in the logger.

2. Locate the logger near the proposed site at which it will be deployed.

3. Click on the Signal Strength button.

4. Disconnect the logger from the computer.

5. Place the logger in the deployment location, and verify that all

enclosures, lids, and doors are in positions (e.g., open or closed) that
accurately reflect the deployment conditions.

The signal strength test takes one minute to complete, following the 30-second
delay for preparation.

6. Once the test is complete, recover the logger and reconnect it to the

computer.

7. Evaluate the results in XiLog+ FastTrack. Refer to Performing a

Signal Strength Test on page 16 for information on properly
interpreting the test results.
