Troubleshooting Guide

Symptom

Possible Cause

Solution

• Too easy or too difficult to tilt the

monitor up and down

• Excessively loosened or tightened

hardware.

• Weight of the monitor is not compatible

with the arm

Please see “tilt” section of the manual (See

page 17) or use an arm with a compatible

rating

• Too easy or too difficult to twist the

monitor left and right

• Excessively loosened or tightened

hardware.

• Damaged hardware.

Please see “Monitor mounting” section of

the manual (See page 9-15 depending

on applications)

• Too easy or too difficult to turn the

monitor left and right

• Excessively loosened or tightened

hardware.

• Damaged hardware.

Please see “Rotation: monitor head”

section of the manual (See page 18)

• AHM arm lifts up too rapidly without the

monitor.

• AHM arm is too difficult to maneuver

with the monitor.

• AHM arm falls down to the lowest

position on its own with the monitor.

• Counterbalance is not balanced

properly

• Height locking lever is not tighten

properly

Please see “counterbalance” section of the

manual (See page 21)

• The AHM arm is not secure and is

rocking slightly.

• Loosened/ damaged hardware

Perform a preventive maintenance or

• The head of the AHM is not horizontal

and is not secure

• Damaged head

Head of the AHM needs to be replaced.

• Oil is leaking from the gas spring

• Damaged gas spring

Gas spring needs to be replaced. Please

contact Amico Accessories.

• AHM arm moves up and down with

difficulty

• Height lock is not released

Loosen the height locking lever

• Popping sound when moving the AHM

arm up and down

• Damaged gas bracket

• Length of the extension arm is at an

angle

• Extension arm is not secure or it is

rocking slightly

• Damaged extension arm
• Weight of the monitor exceeds the load

rating

• Shelf plunger pin does not engage

• Plunger pin is locked
