■ To retract the flash head after use, push it
down,
Press the flash button to pop up
the flash,
O Press the shutter button halfway
and focus the subject.
O Check that the lightning symbol in
^ the viewfinder lights, then take the
picture.
Setting Red-Eye Reduction
When flash is used in a low-light environment, the subject's eyes may
look red in the photograph. This happens when the light from the flash
reflects off the pupils of the eyes. To set the camera’s red-eye reduction
feature, see page 18.
