Playing an Audio CD or MP3 Disc (continued)

Repeat A-B dB liMV

1. To repeat a sequence during disc piayback, press

A-B at your chosen starting point. The Repeat

icon and “C^A” appear on the menu screen.

2. Press A-B again at your chosen end point. The

Repeat icon and “C^AB” appear on the menu

screen, and the sequence begins to piay

repeatediy.

3. To exit the sequence and return to normai piay,

press A-B again. The Repeat icon disappears

from the menu screen.

MP3 disc compatibility with this player is limited

as follows:

• Sampling frequency: within 1 1 - 4 8 kHz (MP3)

• Bit rate: within 32-320kbps (MP3)

• The piayer cannot read an MP3 fiie that has a fiie

extension other than “.mp3”.

• CD-R physical format should be ISO 9660.

• If you record MP3 files using software that

cannot create a file system (eg. Direct-CD),

it is impossible to playback MP3 files. We
recommend that you use Easy-CD Creator,

which creates an ISO 9660 file system.

• File names should have a maximum of 14 letters

and must incorporate an .mp3 extension.

• They should not contain special letters such as

/ ? * : “ < > ! etc.

• The total number of files on the disc able to

be played is about 648.

• The total numberof folders on the disc

able to be played is about 299.

NOTES:

• When playing back an MP3 in VBR mode, the

displayed Bit Rate will be incorrect. The Time
search function and time counter may not work
correctly during the playback of an MP3 in

VBR mode.

• The number of files and folders on the disc able

to be played is determined by the recording

conditions, but the total number cannot exceed
648.

• If layer 1 and 2 of MPEG 1 are not compatible

with the player, noise may be heard during

playback of files in these formats.
