Using Video Phone
^ If there are many entries in your phonebook, you may want specific entries to always appear

as *, +, % in front of the first letter of the entry. Entries that are preceded by symbols will
automatically appear at the top of the phonebook. You must refresh the phonebook screen
before the new order takes effect.
Using Video Phone
Video Phone with Intel ProShare technology lets you and another
person talk to and see each other during a phone call. In addition to live
video, Video Phone lets you send still photographs, called
snapshots,
while talking with the other party.
Setting Up Your Computer to Use Video Phone
Before you can use Video Phone, check the following:
□ Check that your computer is connected to a telephone line, video
camera, microphone, and speakers.
See the chapter “Setting Up Your Sony PC” if you need installation
instructions.
. You may need to selert the video input source on the Video Driver screen. To access
this screen, open the View menu, select Options, select the Video tab, and click the
Camera Controls button,
□ Check that the party with whom you will be communicating has
compatible (H.324-compliant) video phone software.
□ If you or the other party subscribe to Call Waiting service (available
through your local telephone company), check that it is disabled. The
tone you hear when using Call Waiting telephone service will
terminate video transmission. Ask your local phone company for the
numbers needed to disable Call Waiting. To disable Call Waiting,
click the Setup button in the Communication Center and click the
Properties button in the Location information area. Click the
checkbox called “This location has call waiting” and enter the
numbers provided by the phone company.
