□ Full Restore with Format formats the hard disk drive and then

restores all the original software.

! Formatting the hard disk drive removes all the information on the hard disk. If

you choose this option, you will lose any software you have installed and any
other files you have created since you started to use your computer. This means
you will have to reinstall any applications that were not included with the
computer when you purchased it. If you choose to restore all software titles
without formatting the hard disk drive, you may need to reinstall applications
that were not included with the computer when you purchased it. If you have
any questions on using the System Recovery COt contact Sony Online Support

(SOS).

^ The System Recovery utility boots from the CD-ROM drive. The System Recovery CD must be

To use the System Recovery CD

Insert the Sony Sy.stem Recovery CD in the CD-ROM drive.

Shut down your computer as described on “Shutting Down Your

Sony PC” on page 43.

Wait 30 seconds and turn on your computer.

Click OK to signify you have read and accept the Microsoft End-User

License Agreement.

When the System Recovery menu appears, follow the on-screen

instructions to complete the recovery process.
