Two focusing systems are available to suit your

needs: autofocus and manual focus.

Autofocus 37-A •

The camera enters autofocus mode as soon as

you turn the camera on. Focus adjusts

automatically to suit the subject located in the

centre of the viewfinder.
• The camera transmits infrared beeims to the

subject and receives reflected beams at the
autofocus window to focus automatically.
When the subject is at a distarx^e of
approximately 6 metres, focus is adjusted in
the centre of the viewfinder. For subject
distances greater than 6 metres, camera
focus point is slightly higher and to the left in
the viewfinder, for distances less than 6

metres, camera focus point is slightly lower

and to the right. For very close subjects at a

distance of less than approximately 1 metre,

this shift of focus becomes more obvious.
Also, the shift of focus becomes more obvious

at the telephoto end. (Infrared beams focus on
a point within circles which shift according to
distance.)
