Memory
The M2M System in the Kontron M2M Smart Services Developer Kit board supports 1GB of DDR2 memory. For high
volume M2M system production other memory options are possible. Please discuss this with your Kontron or
distribution representative.
2.7 LiveUSB Drive
The LiveUSB drive included in the Kontron M2M Smart Services Developer Kit provides access to Wind River tools
and demos. Set-up of the workbench environment for usage is explained in the section 3 of this manual.
The LiveUSB drive contains:

A fully configured and bootable version of the Fedora (Linux) operating system.

The Wind River Linux platform, which includes the Wind River Workbench development suite and a board
support package for the Kontron M2M System.

Wind River documentation, including a Getting Started Guide.

A set of guides which will lead you through the Wind River Linux evaluation.

Wind River documentation for Wind River Workbench and Wind River Linux.
 A recovery image to allow you to rewrite the internal MicroSD with the factory image for the
MicroSD
