4.11 Installing a SATA Disk on Module (SATA DOM)

A separately purchased, optional SATA DOM provides SATA disk storage. The SATA DOM is installed
on the S2600CO.

Before you can install a SATA DOM module, you must power down the system, remove the chassis
cover, and remove the left-side riser assembly.

1. Power down the server and remove all peripheral devices and the power cord(s)

2. Remove the chassis cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Chassis Cover” in Section 3.2.

3. Remove the left-side riser card assembly. For instructions, see “Removing a Riser Card Assembly” in

Section 3.2.

4. Press in the metal clip on the SATA DOM and plug the module into the white SATA 0 connector,

which is behind the main power connector in the left front section of the baseboard.
