Load Optimal Defaults
This function is used to reconfigure the BIOS settings to a predefined set of Optimal default
settings. The Optimal settings are designed for maximum system performance, but may not
work well for all computer applications. In particular, do not use the Optimal settings if configu-
ration problems are being experienced with the system.
To load the Optimal default settings, select this function from the Exit menu and press <Enter>.
A popup display appears requesting confirmation of the loading. To confirm, select [OK] and
then press <Enter>. To return to the BIOS setup program without loading, select [Cancel] and
then press <Enter>.

Load Fail-Safe Defaults
This function is used to reconfigure the BIOS settings to a predefined set of Fail-Safe default
settings. The Fail-Safe default settings are designed for maximum system stability, but not
maximum system performance. Select the Fail-Safe default settings if configuration problems
are being experienced with the system.
To load the Fail-Safe default settings, select this function from the Exit menu and press <En-
ter>. A popup display appears requesting confirmation of the loading. To confirm, select [OK]
and then press <Enter>. To return to the BIOS setup program without loading, select [Cancel]
and then press <Enter>.
