REMOTE ACCESS CONFIGURATION SCREEN

This screen provides functions for specifying remote access configuration settings.

Remote Access

SDO

This function is used to enable the BIOS remote access feature.

Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: Disabled

Serial Port Number

SDO

This function is used to select the serial port for console redirection.

Note:

This function is only available when the Remote Access function is set to Enabled.

Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: COM1

SETTING

DESCRIPTION

Disabled

Use this setting to prevent the BIOS from using Remote Access.

Enabled

Use this setting to allow the system to use the remote access feature. The remote access
feature requires a dedicated serial port connection.

SETTING

DESCRIPTION

COM1

Use this setting to select COM1 (Communication port 1) as the remote access interface.

COM2

Use this setting to select COM2 (Communication port 2) for the remote access interface.
