• Highlight Programs, then Accessories, then the HyperTerminal folder, and click on
HyperTerminal. The Connection Description window appears. See Figure 10.

• The HyperTerminal program opens and prompts you to name the connection for terminal
operation, as shown in Figure 10. Choose an icon and a name for the terminal connection file and
click OK. The Connect To window appears.
• From the Connect using drop down menu, select COM1 and Click OK. See Figure 11.
