FAX RING COUNT
The FAX RING COUNT setting
This function is available only in the FAX
mode when receiving a document.
If you find there is difficulty in receiving
from machines that have an automatic
transmission feature, set the FAX RING
COUNT number to “2” (twice).
2: The unit answers on the 2nd ring.
(Default)
3; The unit answers on the 3rd ring.
4: The unit answers on the 4th ring.
Operation:
■j Press the PROGRAM button.
The PROGRAM indicator lights.
2 Press then press “33” for the
FAX RING COUNT setting.
3 Press “2”. “3” or “4".
(2=twice, 3=three times,
4=four times)
4 Press the SET button to store your
selection in memory.
5 Press the PROGRAM button to end
the operation.
The PROGRAM indicator goes out.
PRINTER TEST
If you have difficulty with the print
quality of your unit, check it using this
feature.
Operation:
'J Press the PROGRAM button.
The PROGRAM indicator lights.
2 Press then press “42”.
3 Press the START/COPY button.
The unit prints the pattern as shown in
Figure 1.
If the print pattern has any blurred
points or lines or dirty pattern, consult
with your service center.
4 Press the PROGRAM button to end
the operation.
The PROGRAM indicator goes out.

You can print the character code list for fax
logo setting.
Operation:
“I Press the PROGRAM button.
The PROGRAM indicator lights.
2 Press “#”, then press “43".
3 Press the START/COPY button.
The unit starts printing.
4 Press the PROGRAM button to end
the operation.
The PROGRAM indicator goes out.
