Selecting the Address lor Index Repeat Playback

Programme Now Being Played Back

Press the Play/x2 Button (►) or the Stop Button (■).

Press the Index Button.

Input the address of the desired programme (number

of index signals that you want to skip during rewinding)
with the number buttons on the Remote Controller.

Q Press the Rewind ◄◄/Review @ or Fast Forward

►►/Cue 0 Button to start the VMS Index Search

function (the VTR will switch to the rewind or fast for­
ward mode).

O Press the Pause/Still Button while the VTR is in the

playback mode.

^ Press the Index Button.

^ Input with the Number Buttons the number of the index

signal that you want to erase.

Q Press the Fast Forward or the Rewind Button. When

the designated index signal is reached, the VTR
changes over to playback.

^ Press the Pause/Still Button to put the VTR in the Still

Playback mode.

^ Press the Index Button.

Q Press the Erase Button.

•When the Erase Button is pressed, the tape will be

rewound a little before playback starts. When the
index signal is reached, the Erase Indicator will light
up for about

10

seconds to indicate that the index

signal is being erased. When the erasing is com­

pleted, the playback will continue.

Performing Index Repeat Playback

When the VTR is in the playback mode, press the
Memory/Repeat/Search Button so that the “RS" In­

dicator lights up.

•When the next index signal is found, the tape wilt be

rewound. When the index signal, where the playback

is to start, is found, the playback will restart. In this

way, automatically repeated playback can be per­
formed for a tape portion as defined by the number of
index signals that are skipped.

To stop the Index Repeat playback, press the Stop

Button or press the Memory/Repeat/Search Button so

that the “RS” Indicator goes out.

If Index Repeat playback is performed on a tape for
long periods of time, the picture quality may become

inferior.
