Enjoying the Microphone Mixing

Using the “KARAOKE" feature

This function mutes the vocal track on a compact di.sc or so but

leaves the accompaniment allowing you to enjoy "KARAOKE”

(singing with an accompaniment).

Switch on the power.

Connect the microphone to the MiC jack.

Be sure to reduce the microphone level before connecting.

Start piaying a compact disc.

Press VOiCE MUTE to ON.

The singing voice is muted.

Start microphone mixing.

The singing voice on the microphone will mix with sound of the

compact disc.

Adjust the microphone ievei.

To cancel the “KARAOKE” mode, press VOICE MUTE again.

The display wilt change to the previous setting.

■ To change the key of the tune

(For model SH-CH750, only for Australia and New Zealand)

1. Press KEY CON.

KEY CON indicator will light.

2. Adjust the key using JOG.

You can adjust the key within the range of -3.0 to +3.0 in
0.5 step.

To cancel, press KEY CON again.

■ To adjust the reverberation sound

(For model SH-CH750, only for the area except for Australia and
New Zealand)

1. Press ECHO.

The ECHO indicator will light.

2. Adjust the reverberation sound using JOG.

You can adjust the reverberation sound within the range of

0.2

seconds to

1.6

seconds.

To cancel, press ECHO again.

Notes:
•This function may not be effective according to the type of music.
•This function is not effective with compact discs or cassette tapes

made for “KARAOKE” use. When you use such compact discs or

cassette tapes, press VOICE MUTE to go off the display showed

in the step 3. (See left.)

•If you hear strange noises (squealing or howling) during mixing,

move the microphone farther away from the speakers or turn

down the volume on the tuner amplifier and microphone volume.

•When you are not using the microphone, disconnect it from the

MIC jack, and turn down the microphone volume level to MIN.

•You cannot use this function with a compact disc made from a

monaural source.

•You cannot change the tone quality (equalizer curve or simulated

listening environment) while using this function.
