Turning the POWER switch on
Before turning the POWER switch on, confirm the following:
—All connections are completed.
—The cassette tape and the recording paper are installed properly.
—The handset is on the cradle.

Turn the
POWER
switch to the “I” (ON) position.
2, When you turn on the unit for the first time, the display shows
“RECORD GREETING’’.
This shows that the greeting message is not recorded.
To use the unit as both an answering device and a facsimile properly,
record your
greeting message (see pages 1-16 and 1-17).
NOTES:
• If the ALARM indicator lights when you turn the POWER switch on, confirm that the cover of the
recording paper unit is closed firmly.
• If the PAPER OUT indicator lights, install the recording paper properly (see pages 1-12
and 1-13).
