Polling

Polling means that you call another facsimile machine to retrieve a document. On the other hand, the

documents loaded on your unit can be retrieved only at the request of the calling machines (we call this

“Polled" mode).

Polling reception

Make sure that no documents have been fed into your unit and that the other party’s machine is ready for

your call.

Press MENU repeatedly
until the following is
displayed.

Enter the phone number

by using one-touch

dialing, speed dialing or

a full number.

Press START/SET.
—When using speed

dialing, press

START/SET again.

—The unit will start

polling.

Notes:
• The receiving unit incurs any telephone charges.
• If there is no answer or the line is busy, the unit wilt automatically redial the number up to 2 times.

Polling transmission (Polled)

To let other machines retrieve documents loaded on your unit, proceed as follows.

Set the unit in the

ANS/FAX, TEUFAX or

FAX mode by pressing
RECEIVE MODE.

Insert the documents
FACE DOWN.

Press MENU repeatedly
until the following is
displayed.
