Attaching Hardware Devices
Your Notebook has been optimized for connections with USB
devices. Some of the benefits of USB devices include
compatibility with the Windows Millennium edition operating
system, optimum performance of your software applications,
and quicker response times from Hibernation mode.
To install a new hardware device such as a USB printer or
other USB device to your Notebook, complete the following
steps:
1. Turn off your Notebook.
2. Connect the device to your Notebook according to the
instructions that came with it.
3. Turn on your Notebook and follow the instruction that
came with your device for installing any needed drivers.
You may be prompted to insert the Windows Installation CD
or diskettes. If this occurs, complete the following steps:
1. At the Add New Hardware Wizard, click Next to begin
installing the drivers and files necessary to make the new
hardware work.
