Microsoft Internet Explorer has
an extensive Help section that
includes a tour of its
major features.

“Internet Zone Buttons” in
Chapters 2 and 3 for
information about identifying,
reprogramming, and disabling
the Internet Zone buttons.

To begin surfing the Internet with Microsoft Internet
Explorer, complete either of the following:

From the Windows desktop, double-click the Internet
Explorer



icon.

From the Windows taskbar, click the Start button, point to
Programs, and then click the Internet Explorer



icon.

An alternative method uses the

Internet Zone

buttons on

your keyboard.

To connect to the Web with this procedure, simply press one
of the Internet Zone buttons.

Note: The Internet Zone buttons on your computer may differ from those

shown here.

These buttons give you quick access to the most frequently
used Internet activities. They can be programmed to reflect
your personal preferences.
