WARNING

Indicates a potential hazard that could result in serious injury or death.

TRANSMISSION OIL

CAUTION : 

Maintain correct oil level.
Change oil and clean the filter in accordance
with the maintenance schedule.

NOTE :

Check the oil level when the engine is cold.

Checking the transmission oil level

1.

Place the motorcycle upright on a work stand.

2.

Inspect the oil level in the inspection window.

The level should be visible in the window.

Maintain the oil level between the “LOW” and
“HIGH” as indicated.

CAUTION : 

To add, remove the cap and pour the specified
transmission oil at the filler hole to raise it to
the correct level in the window. Clean around
cap before removing it.
Use a clean funnel.

3.

Wait a few minutes for the oil to settle and
recheck the level. Replace the cap securely.

Changing the transmission oil

1.

Place the motorcycle upright on a work stand.

2.

Remove the transmission drain bolt and allow
the oil to drain into your oil pan. Lean the vehicle
slightly to the right to ensure all oil has drained.

3.

The filter may not come out with the drain bolt.

Recommended viscosity: SAE 80W or 85W

Capacity (dry fill): 600cc (0.85 US qt.)
