If you don’t see the wi-fi security type you want to use, click “More Options” and you’ll see

an expanded list of options, including:

None: No security password is required to access the CLEAR Spot wi-fi network

– not recommended since anyone may access your CLEAR Spot wi-fi network,

use your internet connection, and contribute toward your data usage amounts

(for which you would be responsible).

WEP 64 Bit-Shared: Low security. Works with older and newer wi-fi devices.

Recommended only if any of your devices don’t support WPA or WPA2. Shared

WEP uses the same key for encryption and authentication; some consider

shared WEP to be less secure than open WEP.

WEP 128 Bit-Shared: Low security. Works with older and newer wi-fi devices.

Recommended only if any of your devices don’t support WPA or WPA2. Shared

WEP uses the same key for encryption and authentication; some consider

shared WEP to be less secure than open WEP.

WEP 64 Bit-Open: Low security. Works with older and newer wi-fi devices.

WPA2 Personal-AES: A stronger, newer security standard. Limited to newer wi-

fi devices.

WPA2 Personal-TKIP/AES: A stronger, newer security standard, but limited to

newer wi-fi devices.

WPA/WPA-2 Personal (recommended setting): wi-fi devices that use either

WPA or WPA2 can connect to the CLEAR Spot. Supported by most wi-fi

devices.

Change the CLEAR Spot wi-fi network password.

Change the setting so the wi-fi network password is displayed on the CLEAR Spot LCD screen.


Note: To make any changes, you must be logged in to the CLEAR Spot Home Page.
When you’re ready to change the password and security settings, click “Submit”.
If you don’t desire to make any changes, click “Cancel” and you’ll see the CLEAR Spot Home Page.
