Select File > Open Port, the
appropriate port (or ports)
from the Open Ports drop-
down list and click Ok.

5.

Type AT and press Enter.

All further commands should
be followed by a (CR) (carriage
return or Enter).

You should see a response of
OK.

a.

If you do not see the AT
but you see the OK, type
AT E1.

b.

Type AT again.

You should then see the
AT and the OK.

6.

Type ATDT and a telephone number of a convenient phone.

You should observe the phone ringing. This shows that the RocketModem IV is
capable of going Off Hook and dial a number.

7.

Dial the telephone number of a modem you want to test.

The word Ring should appear on the WCom2 screen each time the phone
rings.

a.

Type ATA to answer the call.

You should hear the modem try to synchronize with the telephone. If you
are not using a modem to try to connect with the RocketModem IV, you will
not be able to proceed further.

b.

Hang up the phone.

8.

Type +++ in WCom2 to return the modem to command mode. You will get an
OK response.

9.

Type ATH0 to hang up the modem.

This completes the RocketModem IV testing.

10. You are now ready to configure your communications application according to

the operators manual and test the modems and phone lines using your
application.
