2.2.7 Crankshaft (Continued)

2.2.7.c Crankshaft Assembly Removal

NOTE

Before disassembling, check the side
clearance of the crankshaft. Check it
during reassembly.

1. Remove the three main bearing case bolts (1).

2. Pull out the crankshaft assembly (2), being careful not

to damage the crankcase bearings (3).

3. While pulling the crankshaft assembly (2) out, use

care to align each of the crank pins (5) (left or right) to
clear the crankcase relief (a).

When Reassembling

When installing the main bearing case assembly, align
the bolt holes of the crankshaft assembly (2) with the
holes of the crankcase.

Apply oil to the threads of the main bearing case bolts (1)
before re--insertion.
